Travel Tip #1: Hand Carry Items

What should I pack in my hand carry bag? A question that many face when packing for their upcoming trip. Here’s a list of essential items you should have with you, in your hand carry bag along with some useful tips.

1. Wallet, Passport and other Travel Document 

Quick tip: Print everything in advance, from boarding passes to accommodation bookings confirmations & tour package itineraries. Get a map of the place you’re travelling to as well. 

2. Electronic Items + Chargers – Handphones, Laptops, Tablet, MP3 Players, Camera, Game consoles 

3. Daily Medication – Drugs and pills, syrups and other medicines in liquid form, Cooling gel pack, Inhalers. 

Quick tip: If your medication is liquid or you need to carry needles, get a letter from your doctor. This should help you avoid problems taking restricted items on the plane in your carry-on bag.

4. Mini Toiletry Pouch – Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Mouth wash, Face wash, Wet wipes, Deodorant, Perfume. 

Quick tip: Most airlines would provide a mini toiletry set, but just to be safe it wouldn’t hurt to carry one. For longer flights, you may want to consider bringing mini bottles shampoo. Make sure all  items are under 100ml and placed in a clear ziplock bag. 

5.  A set of clothing 

Quick tip: You never know when you could miss your connecting flight, get stranded in an airport or lose your luggage. Having an extra pair of clothes is always a good thing. Even on the flight, you could change into a fresh pair of clothes to make yourself more comfortable.
